"Firefly was founded in 1997 (The Hague) and consists of producer Diabaldee and singer Damar. They played in several formations with other musicians who have influenced the band in several ways in the past years. Being a Drum'n'Bass band they also experimented
with Breakbeat, Trip Hop and Hip Hop. Their style varies from hard to melodic and is characterized by the voice and lyrics of Damar.
In 2004 they won the "Grote Prijs Van Zuid Holland". Firefly was the best act in the Dance category. The jury reported 'Reprazent meets Kosheen meets Breakbeat Era meets Firefly with its own style and great singer'." |
