"Johnny's Landing is a Dutch rock band formed in 2006, in The Hague. The trio exists of songwriter Dominique van Dijkhuizen (vocals/lead guitar), Taco Fens (drums) and Jimmy van Dijk (bass).
Their sound can be described as "The Libertines fronted by Madeleine Peyroux" - ie; indie-jazz.
Early 2007, they were selected (out of 60-something other contending bands) as one of the four bands to compete in the Koninginnenach competition, and as a result played their first four gigs, including a stint at the main hall of the Paard van Troje. " |
